Lilli Waters solo exhibition ‘Disenchantments of the World‘ will be at Curatorial+Co. gallery in Redfern from 18th – 28th November.

This series of underwater still lifes draws inspiration from paintings by the old Dutch masters – images of flowers symbolising beauty, nobility and prosperity and their impermanence. ‘Passiflora Edulis’ references Cornelis de Heem’s ‘Festoon with Fruit with Flowers’, and ‘Tulpenmanie’ references Abraham Mignon ‘Still Life with Flowers in a Glass Vase.’
