“Ruth & Barry live out on a property in Pipers’ Creek, a few hours from Melbourne. They bought the property in 1976 and have planted over 1700 trees and are still planting to this day.. they are true gardening addicts like myself. We walked around the property and they told me the names of many of the trees and when they planted them, and we bonded over our shared passions for cups of afternoon tea and visiting the same local nurseries. I had been wanting to buy a lilac tree for my backyard, and they were kind enough to gift me one of theirs, so it was a special and touching afternoon.”
