Sam I Am Announces Chapter One

Let’s face it, females are way under-represented in pro photography.

At Sam I Am we think this kind of gender imbalance is well overdue for a makeover. That’s why we’re doing something positive to help rewrite the story for young women in photography. We’ve created Chapter One, a unique mentorship program designed to level the playing field and give the very best young female talent out there a new beginning to their stories.  A genuine career kickstart they both need and deserve.

Chapter One offers something money can’t buy. A genuinely hands-on 1-on-1 experience within a commercial photography practice.

We’re offering a unique 3 month Mentorship Program where each successful applicant will be paired with a Sam I Am artist to gain invaluable knowledge via access to a range of diverse talent and skillsets – stylists, assistants, retouchers, producers, agency creatives and more – all successful, top-of-their-game and well known within the industry.

We’re looking for young women with visual stories they want to tell, or a series or image they want to produce. Over the three months you’ll have one-on-one access to your Sam I Am mentor who’ll help you develop it. Ultimately the final images will be shown at an exhibition attended by industry creatives.
